Yes, this is very good. I think the idea of being subjects is deeply ingrained into our (British) national psyche. It's why we keep voting in governments that have no empathy for the poor and marginalised. They believe they are born to rule and we the ordinary people believe we are born to be ruled over by such people - rich, upper class, born into immense privilege. Fortunately there are voices challenging that narrative now. I hope they continue to be heard and l hope and pray we apologise and repent for the harm we have caused.
